Vinca Minor extract contains :
- Indole alkaloids (0.15-1.4 %) : main alkaloid vincamine (eburnamine-type, 25-65 %), including as well vincine, apovincamine, vincadifformin and others.
- Flavonoid : kempferol-3-O-rhamnoside-7-O-glycoside, kempferol-3-O-rhamnoglycoside-3-O-galactoside, kempferol-3-O-rhamnoglycoside-3-O-glycoside, quercetin-3-O-rhamnoglycoside-7-O-glycoside and others.
The effects of alkaloid vincamine is hypotensive, spasmolytic, hypoglikemic dan sympatholytic, cerebral vasodilator, and metabolism activator.
